Quite often when I am in working I am constantly looking for really cool stuff to tell people about or to just amuse myself with. I find it hard sometimes as there is so much cool stuff about and it’s is difficult knowing where to start.
Thanks to twitter this morning I came across this really cool web site with some seriously cool stuff called cool things in random places. Anyway after wasting about 1/2 an hour my favourites were the Door to Hell in Turkmenistan and the Temple of Rats which is just a lttle bit creepy and unnerving seeing that many rats running around.

Talking about random things and thoughts. I wonder if The New Zealand Government had taken a look at world’s most bike friendly cities in the world before they came up with the recession busting National Cycle Way. Hal Amen could give them a clue in what to look for in his post The 15 most bike friendly cities in the world. I still wonder who came up with the idea and if it is really going to happen or it was a big publicity stunt?
It’s a really cool idea if it does go ahead, But my main question is a really simple one. All that money spent and jobs created, fine. But at the end of the day who is going to use it? So those with a bike. Book your flights and get those lycra clad legs over here right now.
